Hey guys ,
Welcome back to my blog, today’s post features me wearing a Nigerian brand “House of Irawo” owned by Mrs Abby Ikomi (creative director) and her three lovely daughters Dola, Ama and Anire who hold positions as Strategic marketing Advisor, Financial advisor and Brand consultant respectively.
They have been in business for a little over a year and I’ve spotted them on Instagram for a while but saw them in full swing at Arise Fashion Week, I went over to the store to take a look at what they had ,picked a few pieces for the blog and decided to style it for you guys to see.
House of Irawo had their first fashion show at the just concluded Arise Fashion Week . I fell in love with this hooded top ( its detail , fit and finish is really good )and decided to shoot in it. I paired it with a pair of jeans and a slingback low -heeled Zara shoes.
I would also style this with a pair of palazzo pants and higher heels too. Do you like and how would you style it ?

Welcome to my blog.
If it’s your first time here, Thank you for stopping by. I am so glad you did.
I decided to shoot a simple but chic look you could wear if you got invited to a launch of a fashion or beauty line, some invites might give you a theme , others won’t so i’m here to help . Most times I like to be safe than sorry when dressing up , even if i decide to go casual I definitely love to add some spice to the look .
The top has a really cool vibe, it’s sheer but not too open (you can wear camisole or just a bra, most especially go for whatever you are comfortable with) and I love the mini cut fringe detail , it gives the top some edgy feel. I paired it with a straight cut high waist denim and Steve Madden lace pumps . To add a vibe, i tied the lace across the denim .
I actually just discovered this brand Shein (they actually deliver to Nigeria), you can get the top here HERE and it comes in 3 colours. They have really cool pieces , the sheer T-shirt dress from my last post was from them too . see here Easy Breezy Chic!!
I pulled my hair back and styled it with a hair ruffle. You can also pull this off for a weekend party, Friday night-out dinner & drinks with friends . I chose minimal jewelry and makeup and threw in a red Diorama bag to add some color.

Love & Light .
Welcome back, What’s goooddddddd?
Today on the blog , I had a style shoot with Iro lagos.
Iro & Buba (Wrapper and Blouse) is an outfit that will never go out of fashion, It originally features Aso-Oke (worn in the 60’s ), lace , Ankara and more recently, Chiffon, silk, jersey and satin fabric to make it wearable and trendy. It has been re-designed over and over by various designers but one thing is constant, it’s still that statement piece you want to have in your wardrobe.
Nigerian Label ‘Iro Lagos’ is one brand that has taken the style and incorporated different vibes to it over the last few years. In this shoot, i’m wearing a cowl neck top and a wrapper in a jersey stretch fabric all made in Nigeria . I’m not a fan of wrappers (as I don’t really know how to tie them) so i opted to knot it into a style made famously by Ejiro Amos Tafiri a few years ago.
This look is beautiful and can be worn to church (you need to tie it differently though 🙂 ] , visits, events and any day you just want that easy breezy vibes.
The outfit is by @irolagos . Check them out onInstagram
My make up and pictures were by the amazing @Radiantbyreena . This lady is not just a Make-up-artiste, she takes lovely pictures. She’s polite , patient and she listens too.
Styling by Iro Lagos and me .
