Hey,
Welcome back, What’s goooddddddd?
Today on the blog , I had a style shoot with Iro lagos.
Iro & Buba (Wrapper and Blouse) is an outfit that will never go out of fashion, It originally features Aso-Oke (worn in the 60’s ), lace , Ankara and more recently, Chiffon, silk, jersey and satin fabric to make it wearable and trendy. It has been re-designed over and over by various designers but one thing is constant, it’s still that statement piece you want to have in your wardrobe.
Nigerian Label ‘Iro Lagos’ is one brand that has taken the style and incorporated different vibes to it over the last few years. In this shoot, i’m wearing a cowl neck top and a wrapper in a jersey stretch fabric all made in Nigeria . I’m not a fan of wrappers (as I don’t really know how to tie them) so i opted to knot it into a style made famously by Ejiro Amos Tafiri a few years ago.
This look is beautiful and can be worn to church (you need to tie it differently though 🙂 ] , visits, events and any day you just want that easy breezy vibes.
The outfit is by @irolagos . Check them out onInstagram
My make up and pictures were by the amazing @Radiantbyreena . This lady is not just a Make-up-artiste, she takes lovely pictures. She’s polite , patient and she listens too.
Styling by Iro Lagos and me .
