August 5, 2017Halohaaaaaa ,
I’m awfully sorry I’ve been MIA with posts, life happened (lol) but i’m back, thanks for all the private messages you sent me concerning Makari . I have a special message for everyone who has bought the 24k range, thank you . You have shared so many personal stories with me concerning the product and I’m happy you love it . I will be rewarding you guys very soon. Please follow @makariofficialnigeria on Instagram to know more as well as where you can get original Makari products nationwide.
Today’s post has been put on hold for a while and i’m so excited i’m finally blogging about this. I am not a huge fan of native attire but recently my love for Ankara went from 0-100 real quick. I love what designers are doing with the fabrics . Its amazing . I went for an event recently and the dress code was Ankara. It was the launch of beauty retail store Mose . You can check out the store on Instagram @themosestore. Congrats to Nowe Isibor and a huge shout out to all the “Made in Nigeria” beauty brands . Well done ladies .
My outfit was made in 3 hours by one of my favorite Nigerian designers Moofa. I have featured her work on my page here >> Playing dress up at Moofa Designs and here>> Rocking Made In Nigeria at the just concluded #BeautyBusinessWeek .
She made a crop top with flared sleeves and high waist shorts, simple and chic. When the outfit was ready, she threw in an Ankara scarf (which i was skeptical about ) and booooom…it was perfect . I styled my look with a 3 tone jewelry ,nude barely there sandals by Steve Madden and a gold clutch from Nigerian handbag designer Morin O.
I love how versatile the Ankara fabric is and all the amazing things you can do with it . I took so many pictures so please enjoy.
