Rocking Made In Nigeria at the just concluded #BeautyBusinessWeek

This week I hosted all the  seminars for the first edition of the Beauty Business Week organized by Tayo Afolabi of World PR and sponsored by Mercedes Benz

It was a three Day event geared towards enlightening stakeholders with the latest business trends in the beauty industry with a focus on shea butter. I had the honor of moderating different panels and having conversations with stakeholders and key players in the Beauty industry like Mrs Tara Fela Durotoye , The CEO of Oasis Medspa Dr Brown, Bukky Karibi White , Maje Ayida amongst others .

It was a 3 day event and all my outfits were by Nigerian designers #MadeinNigeria. For day 1, I opted for an outfit by Shop Maju , a fresh  high-street ready to wear brand . I personally love this brand so much because they are affordable and stock very cool pieces that resonates with my personal style. I put into consideration my role as a moderator sitting on a panel , I knew I had to go for something chic and comfortable  so I could focus on the discussion . For Day 2 :

I opted for another lovely Nigerian brand who’s doing pretty well . It’s called Lady Biba . I wore a Damask top paired it with a black high- waist straight cut trousers . It was well tailored and I believe the brand is doing well in terms or quality vs price . There is room for improvement but I definitely loved this look .

For hair and Make up . I was provided with a glam squad from International beauty brand  Lancôme via The Beauty Bar by Essenza.

For Day 3, I rocked an outfit by one of my favorite Nigerian designers , Moofa Designs . The dress was so cute , everyone couldn’t stop talking about it ❤️.Most people thought it was a top and skirt but it’s actually a dress

Well that’s the thing about Moofa, she always gets it .

After hosting the event , I was hanging with my sister in my car when I reminded her that I needed to take some more  pictures , then Moyo Gates ( he’s an Actor ,radio host , brand strategist at Chanel , beauty expert at Clarins amongst many other good stuff ) came through looking fly in a bright multi coloured Shirt , I recall him saying it was #MadeInNigeria so I said cool, let’s take some pictures together , I think it will pop .

He called Oma of Sotectonic (a blogger , content creator , brand ambassador , influencer and just a generally awesome lady ) to come over and take our pictures . My eyes lit up because Oma had been taking cool pictures with her Samsung S8 ( the rave of the moment ) and the images came out beautifully , I can’t even believe it was taken with a📱Samsung phone . We were down the road from the Mercedes Benz place and we chose a site under construction 😂.

Oma got to work (PS: she’s not a professional photographer ) and before we knew it , one picture turned into a photoshoot 😂😂😂… but I love it!!!!! What a day. I didn’t even edit these pictures ! The Samsung Galaxy S8 is amazingggggg! What??????
What was your favorite look 1,2 or 3?
