My thoughts

Make prayer the first resort

Hey guys, before I sleep I would love to share my thoughts on an article I just read by Joyce Meyer . It’s very powerful , I’m in bed thinking about something that’s bothering me , I’m fighting it so badly and my soul is just so restless , I needed the answers right away but I couldn’t get it so I just went  over to my devotional and bible  to read ( this helps me a lot ) and boom , I’m faced with the article and it spoke directly to me ๐Ÿค”๐Ÿ˜„

Joyce Meyer made me realize that most times as Christians  we look to God when we don’t have any other option ( the last resort) as opposed to trusting him from the start , and this is so wrong. We try every means and when it fails we mutter words like,” I’ve left it all to God” , or “let’s pray about it then”  Speaking to God and then waiting to hear from him is not as hard as we think , it stems from having faith that if we speak to God he has the ultimate solution . But she says , we must speak to him first , he’s the Alpha and Omega; he even knows what we want to say before we say it so why not say it anyway; and reiterate the fact that we know he knows but we are telling him anyway๐Ÿ˜ƒ๐Ÿ˜ƒ๐Ÿ˜ƒ…Gods way is always the right way ; he can never lead us to destruction , the bible says “Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.โ€
(Matthew 11:28 NIV) ……..even on scary moments/instances illustrated in the bible like Noah and the Ark, Jonah and the whale, Abraham and Issac , Job ( imagine what Job went through haba!!)  just to mention a few , you will learn that Gods way is the best way. Now this does not mean that we won’t face trials, for example Celine Dion lost her husband and brother within 2 days ; trust me that’s incredibly difficult to deal with or the refugees fleeing from Syria who got into a boat that eventually capsized because the driver had never navigated a boat in his life and as a result mothers watched their children die while others were lucky , where do you get the strength to pray so this is where our faith comes in ; God is patiently waiting  to take control but we must come to him and trust him at all times .

I’m  human and I tend to lean towards my abilities sometimes even when I know in my heart that I can just leave it all to God and I don’t have to worry . It’s just that sometimes the problems presents itself in such a way that you  feel so weak to pray but I’m happy to let you know that so long as you are a true believer in God , you can tell the devil , My God has this; he will come through for me . I don’t know who is reading this now, and I don’t know what you may be going through but I’ll tell you this for free, God has got you covered , nothing and nothing at all is bigger than God , you can take this to the bank๐Ÿ˜ƒ.

And on this note, come with me and let’s  cast our cares and burden to God this minute  to take absolute control of whatever situation that has presented itself before us . God bless you and good night. Please feel free to leave a comment .

Lots of love ;

  4. Leaving it all to God when everything is blowing up in your face, with no relief in sight is to me the most difficult thing to do, but it’s all worth it. God does not, has never and will never lie. @Yemisi, I’ve been there and I promise you…leaning on God is the best thing. Kaylah love…thank you

    1. Tare and Yemisi, God is out greatest comforter , we can only just hold on to him , the pain of losing ones child is indescribable. May God give you both and everyone who has lost someone the strength to carry on and crown you with eternal joy. Amen ! Love you ladies

  5. Amazing…totally inspiring write up. I’m usually elated when I see peeps in their busy schedules trying to make out time for God, it’s easy to go a day without referencing the one who protects n loves us despite our actions. Kaylah, I’ve always been proud of you and will forever be….Thank you for your subtle evangelism.
